September update 1/2

Why the title is September update 1/2? Cos it's just the mid of September and I'm already updating my blog. Couldn't think of any other title anyway.

Well, as usual, nothing much been going on. Other than spending most of the time at home, watching cable channels, youtube, and out with friends for dinner and supper.

Was in town the other day to run some errands and had lunch with Sammie at Marina Square. Had the craving for the rojak we had the last time. This time I order the Curry noodle with chicken and it SUCKS!! Bad bad choice!! It was suppose to be from a famous stall.....

After lunch, we went to Bakers Inn at Millenia Walk to have tea before she goes back to work. We had these macorons, and it's so so so sweet! It's like eating colored sugar! Other than that, the Opera cake is good.

Sent Sammie back to office and I went home to rest. Woke up in the evening and Karan asked my out to have dinner with her. We went to this restaurant, Café Le Caire, 39 Arab Street, Singapore 199738, at Arab street which serves arabian cuisines. Highly recommend!

Hummus with Meat chick peas dip with meat, served with Arabic bread

Meshawi, mixed kebab. Comes with chicken, mutton, mutton sausage, shiitake mushroom and Arabic bread. This is my favourite!

Sammie and Karan had this flea market stall next to Cineleisure and helped them to load all the clothes and wares they bought from Bangkok for their kiosk in Change Alley. And now they booked a stall over the weekends.

After helping them out at the flea market, had dinner at this place near Sammie's house which sell hainanese chicken. It's located at Upper Boundary road and Serangoon Road.

Had this craving for burnt bak kwa, and we happened to pass by Bee Chin Xiang. Bought a kilo of the burnt bak kwa and we enjoyed ourselves with the bbq pork at Sammie's place! Super delicious!

Our maid really can open a restaurant when she goes back to Indonesia. My mum has taught her not only how to cook, also how to make cakes and other kuehs. She recently came up with this cake of her own and it taste not bad. Maybe without the cherries would be nicer.

Woke up in the middle of the night and couldn't get back to sleep. Went to the Old Hong Kong cafe since it's been some time I last had supper there. Was quite disappointed with the food this time. Maybe cos it wasn't what I really wanted to eat thus didn't find the food any fantastic. Hmmm... I'm beginning to be picky on my food lately....

Came upon these videos and uploaded to youtube. Very interesting. Worth the view.
