Another week gone

Now I only left 2 days to slack before going to work.

Let's see what I've been up to besides my exams. ;)

21st July
Had dinner with Kim at the newly renovated Newton Circus. A nicer envrionment, cooler and cleaner. We had Sambal Sotong (chilli squid) which I loved, Stingray and LaLa (some kind of shelled seafood smaller then cockles).

Kim had craving for the LaLa and she's been nagging to have it since days back. Finally tonight she can fulfill her craving, and gosh her eating speed is fast!

The Sambal Sotong is my favourite and I like the taste of it. Though I'm not a chilli fan, and I sweat easily if I had too much chilli and my stomach will be upset if I had too much chilli as well. But this Sambal Sotong is really delicious!

We went home happy and full. ;)

22nd July
Went in to Nusajaya (some place in JB) to meet up with Thomas, Dennis and Nelson. To discuss on the upcoming drag event which we're organising for this coming Saturday. Traffic was a killer during the time I went in at around 1700hrs. Worst was the motorcycles lane. There are some pillions who walked from way back of the queue and waited for their friend to reach the checkpoint then they go back to the bike. If not it would be really tiring to follow the lines.

This is how pack it is

And the pillions waiting for their friend to reach the checkpoint

At Nusajay, saw this self painted car

After we're done with the discussion, went back to town to wash our cars, had supper at around 0230hrs. Surprisingly the car wash places were so packed at this time! Finally we were done at 0300hrs, and we head back to use the 2nd link cos we heard that the traffic at Woodlands checkpoint is really jammed up! Reached home at around 0330hrs, and that was when I took a video of my 180km/h speed on the way home on Singapore's highway. :P

23rd July
It's JDM's grand opening today and I'm representing SMAC to drop by. Forgot to order flowers for them so had to head down to the florist and get a simple looking one to congratulate them.

The Taiwanese guy who is doing the CF bonnet for us is here as well. We went through some details to finalize the design we're doing and we had also got him to do use a spoiler for our car! So excited about all these CF modifications we've discussed with him!

This is the spoiler he has done for the Mazda 2

Turn out was good

My car parked just outside their workshop

Thomas, Jospeh and Melvin (one of the partner of JDM) chatting, as usual, car stuff

Here are some photos taken by one of the Mazda club guy.
Daniel and CY, another 2/3 partners of JDM

I left early cos I am really really tired. On the way back, saw this car which this picture on the spare tyre cover

Got Kim to wake me up in the evenig at 2000hrs so that we can have dinner. She wanna try the fish and prawns that we saw the next table had during our last visit to Newton.

LaLa, steam fish and bbq prawns

Went home after dinner and continued to have my sleep. Hasn't been sleeping well lately.

24th July
Stayed home most of the time. Didn't go anyway other than having lunch or dinner. Most of the time sleeping. Just felt like staying home to slack, and watch some DVDs.

25th July
Had lunch with Kim at Jack's Place, Parkway Parade. And also to collect the CD which I'd them reserved for me. My friend's (T'ang Quartet) new album. Bought a few CDs as well.

Stayed home after lunch and transfer all the songs into my iBook, and slept the day away.

26th July
Slacked the whole day!

27th July
Went for car meet up, had dinner at GV, and met up with other bunch of friends to celebrate a birthday for one of them. It's been almost 10 months I've met up with them and one of them is pregnant, about to due soon. Meet up was at this cafe at Wheellock place. Order some tea and it's served in this cute looking pot.

Had supper with my staff and we went to this 24 hours supermarket, Mustaffa, to take a look. This is the only 24 hours supermarket. And it's really HUGE! Total of 5 levels, packed with almost everything you're looking for! We were amazed by the stuff they have in the store. And if you're unable to sleep at night, this is the place to spent time in! And I've counted, the supermart is almost 40 parking lots long!

We went home at 0400hrs. This is what I called Late night shopping! ;)

28th July
Woke up late, as usual. Went to buy some stationary needed for tomorrow's event. Had lunch/dinner and went to Nusajaya to meet Dennis and check out how were the things there. Apparently some stuff are set up already. Waited for Thomas and Nelson to arrive and we went through some details of tomorrow's event.

It was drizzling and we saw a rainbow. 1st time in my full I saw a full arc rainbow!

Had dinner at Gelang Patah and you'll never believe how much is this spread

RM75.00!!!!! SUPER CHEAP!!!!!

Went back to Nusajaya again to finalise some more details. The shed is so big, we just parked our cars anyhow we like.

We also spent some time playing on the drift track.

This is Dennis on the track

This is me driving on the track

Left at around 2330hrs and as usual, after the Malaysia checkpoint, our last chance to floor the pedal before reaching Singapore. Managed to travel all the way till the needle can't move anymore. and from the video, you can see Thomas flying past me. Imagine I'm already travelling at about 180-200km/h and he just zoom past me! His speed must have been around 220-240km/h! His car is the fastest in our club, so I got nothing to say......

Had supper with my staff, reach home around 200hrs. Here updating my blog. Tomorrow is gonna be a long day. Better sleep soon. The time is 0415hrs now. Will update again with plenty of pics for the event! It's gonna be exciting!

Over and out.
